WEEKLY REPORTS
The Weekly BUZZ Report
The weekly buzz report is an excellent tool for communication. It will help to ensure that you are always knowledgeable about what is going on in our classroom and with your child. To make certain that the parent is getting the most from the reports, the weekly buzz report should be reviewed in its entirety by the parent, discussed with the student, signed by the parent, and returned to school the following day. To return the reports, please place it in the child’s B.E.E Binder. In the morning your child is responsible for placing the signed weekly buzz report in the “Notes for the Teacher Bin”. You should expect to receive a report each week. I usually try to send them home by Wednesday. Please contact me if you do not receive a report by Wednesday.
The following explains most of the components on the weekly report. If you have any further questions about the report please do not hesitate to contact me.
Participation: Your scholar’s participation is assessed in the following areas: attempted to complete assignment(s), completed assignment(s), asked questions and sought support from teachers, peers, and/or resources, and attempted to answer questions accurately. If a check is placed in the box then your child participated in the lesson for that day. If there is an “X” placed in the box then your child did not participate in the lesson. A check minus signifies that your scholar did not fully participate in the lesson.
Test Grades: Any grades for test that were administered that week will be placed in this area. The box will be grayed out if no assessment was administered that week. In the "What Will My Scholar Learn" box you may notice a "(T)". The (T) symbolizes that the scholars will be tested on that skill that week. Test are normally administered on Thursdays or Fridays.
Attendance: Each day your child attends school he or she will receive a check in that day’s box. I will place an “X” in the box if your child was not present. I will place a check minus in the box if your child was tardy.
Comments: Feel free to write comments, questions, or concerns in this space.
